What items MUST be on the plans, or provided along with the plans,

to complete the reviews.

 

Energy needs:

  1. Outline of building envelope, with dimensions for perimeter, windows and doors, and skylights.
  2. Air (Poly) Sealing details
  3. Size and type of wall, wall framing/furr out
  4. Roof sections showing EXACTLY how this projects roof WILL be built, not a standard cut out sectional.
  5. List of insulation materials and their R-values and locations on the envelope
  6. U-Factor and SHGC of windows and glass doors.
  7. ASHRAE 55 calculations.
  8. Mechanical, water heating and appliance specifications.
  9. Plumbing insulation values and locations
  10. Duct R-value, duct sealing details and duct locations
  11. Gasket and insulation details for attic hatches and ladders
  12. Lighting specifications and schedules. Including switches and controls. For both Interior and Exterior lights.

 

Green needs:

  1. Project address
  2. Owner identification
  3. Architect/drafter identification
  4. Contractor identification
  5. Lot Size
  6. A/C square footage
  7. Total roof coverage
  8. Type of parking
  9. Building use(s)/Occupancy
  10. Site Waste Management Plan AND Construction Waste Management Plan
  11. Indoor Air Quality Plan (for construction)
  12. Walkways and Bike paths to entrances shown on plans
  13. Site Hardscape shall have one or more of the following:
    1. Minimum SRI of .30
    2. Shaded by structures
    3. Shaded by trees
    4. Pervious paving, pavers or aggregate
  14. Lighting specifications and schedules. Including switches and controls. For both Interior and Exterior lights. All lamps shall contain less than 5 milligrams of mercury and exterior light shall be fully shielded and less than 250 watts.
  15. Material storage plan (construction materials)
  16. Post-occupancy recycling area shown on plans. Inside or outside.
  17. Storage areas for lamps, batteries, electronics, and Janitorial supplies.
  18. Material selection: a minimum 45% of materials used will be: (shown on plans or on specs)
    1. Used materials
    2. Recycled content materials
    3. Recyclable building materials and components
    4. Bio- based materials
    5. Indigenous materials
  19. ASHRAE 55 calculations.
  20. Mechanical, water heating and appliance specifications.
  21. Plumbing insulation values and locations
  22. Duct R-value, duct sealing details and duct locations
